TEHRAN -- The 10th information service and statistics unit of women was put into operation which is related to Women's Cultural and Social Council entitled, "Data Bank of Employed Women's Qualifications".

The Head of the Center of Information and Statistics of Women's Cultural and Social Council, Monireh Nobakht said, "The unit introduces the active women in 40 different groups such as notables, those involved in scientific, educational, cultural, political, judicial, health, social, and sports fields.

She underlined the necessity of this center to give correct information and statistics about the active women and those investigating in women's affairs.

The Women's Cultural and Social Council was held in 1999 aiming the access to information about the women in national and international levels.

Pointing out the permanent evaluation of cultural and social status of women in this center, Nobakht said that the council is responsible to collect statistics of women in different fields.

The information and statistics center of women consists 10 information units on research, articles, bibliography and periodicals, news, discussion, speeches of Imam Khomeini and the Leader about the status of women in English and Persian.
